Senior Citizens Prom?

I am putting on a senior citizens prom, and I don't know what the theme should be. Got any ideas?

How about "Memory Lane".
I don't know what the age range is but that doesn't strictly limit you either.

I would choose the music and build a theme around that. If you go back to when most of them were 17 or 18, you can figure out what kind of music they were listening to then. People usually grow up listening to their parents' music, so you could have a range of music.

I'd enjoy a 50's sock hop theme. I'm 53 and my mother is in her 70's and we both like music from that era. Good luck.

I am a teacher and High School club sponsor. We did a senior citizen dance last year. We called it
"Moonlight Serenade"

We are currently planning our 16th annual senior prom...we have a committee of seniors who do all the planning, choosing the venue, deciding on food, and the theme. We have had Harvest Night, Denim and Diamonds, Starry, Starry Night, Mardi Gras, Can I have this Dance, Harvest Moon, etc.

We always do our prom in September before life gets too busy.

We've done 3 at our library. The first was "Some Enchanted Evening" using tropical themed decor; then "Sock Hop" using50's decor, and last year we did a "Swing Fling" using 40's, patriotic WWII themed decor.

I absolutely love this idea! How about "Back in the Day" or "Senior Moments" which can be wistful as well as whimsical.
