Fibers Coming from Linoleum Floor?

I moved into a new apartment less than two years ago and have a problem with my linoleum floor. I am pick up very large amounts of fiber like material, it looks like dust but it is not. The dust mop will become full of this material in 7-10 days and I mean full. The amount is astounding and maintenance will provide no answers. It is very light, becomes airborne and gets on everything. I dust mop sometimes twice a day and it still keeps coming! Please help!
