My walls in my kitchen are tomato color. What would be a good color to paint my cabinets?

I would suggest a cream or beige color. boring choices, but it would look good with the bold wall color.
I agree with Becca. Instead of thinking of the colors as cream or beige, think of them as "mayonnaise" or "bread". They always look good with tomato. Maybe for accent, you can throw in a little "lettuce" color :D
My kitchen counters are tomato red, with tomato red sponge painted over white walls. The cabinets are oak. What about painting yours a medium golden brown?
I'd go with a sage green, a light Avocado, or a dark hunter green (if you have lots of light!) & Neutrals are always nice, (Light gray, Black, White or off white). You could also use Aluminum paint to give them a stainless steel look! Or cover them with a thin veneer of Stainless (it comes with a stick-on backing, I saw it on TV).

Mossy green or sparkling white.
I lean toward cream with black (pepper?) accents and hardware. How about a photo when you're done?
I have a piece of cloth that has a print on it. I framed them to hang on each side of a wreath because I put vegetable curtains up in the summer. The one has carrots and the other has tomatoes on it.the background is off white and I painted the picture frames in a dark forest green.
I also vote for a cream or beige, whichever blends. Also, before painting take the cabinets off the wall, as it will be easier to get to all the odd places. More on painting: www.oldhouseweb.com/
