Victorian Coasters

These darling coasters are pretty enough to lay on your coffee table or to wrap as a special gift to a loved one. Their sheer beauty alone flows from the pattern into the heart of your loved one. Practical, but yet very pleasing to the eye.

Approximate Time: 40 minutes for 4

Supplies:

• 4 pieces of vintage art or cutout from wallpaper
• 4 white cardboard coasters
• white glue
• scissors
• contact paper
• iron
• old towel

Instructions:

Cut out your image. Mine is heart shaped so I have tried to keep the shape. Glue onto the front of a white coaster. (You can make your own coaster from a piece of cardboard. Just draw around a glass top and cut out.)

Allow to dry for 20 minutes. Lay out contact paper and measure what you will need by drawing around each coaster and cutting it out.

Set up an ironing station with an old thin towel. Unfold the towel and lay the coasters between the two layers of towel. Heat the iron to medium heat. Iron over image with towel between. Hold iron over area for about 40 seconds several times.

Remove top layer of towel and trim any edges as necessary. Wrap neatly with a pretty ribbon and give them as a gift.
