1. Look at the ads before you leave home to shop.
2. Go through your closets to see what you are in need of, donate the clothes you can no longer use.
3. Make a list and stick to it.
4. Do a search for your state and find out the exact rules which apply to what you can purchase during the tax free week-end.
5. Stick to your spending budget.
