I hard boiled eggs with baking soda in my aluminum pan and it is badly discolored. Do you know of a way to clean or restore it?

Cook rhubarb in your pan and it will really shine.
Just pour some vinegar in and let it sit a while.
Why do you boil eggs in baking soda? Try a glug of vinegar in with your eggs and water. It keeps the eggs together in case there is a tiny crack in the shell that you may not see. The vinegar also could shine up your pot as well...bonus!
No, either vinegar or baking soda ( or anything acid or basic) will react with aluminum. Just don't.
By the way, aluminum intake is NOT proven to cause Alzeimer's, at all! Aluminum has been found to collect in 'plaques' inthe brain, but we all have aluminum ( and copper, iron, zinc, etc.) naturally circulating in our bodies.
I boil with a little bit of vinegar & pot is still black. Any suggestiond
Pour water into the pot & add about 3 tablespoons of lemon juice, then boil it for a few minutes. My mother used this trick to get any discoloration out of her aluminum pots.
