My bird keeps laying eggs. Will the eggs ever hatch? I have about 8 right now in the cage and they sit on the eggs all the time. Secondly, how long does it take a egg to hatch?

Friend of mine use to have birds. Her birds laid eggs as well, but they're was nothing but empty shells, after they sat on them for 3 months. I would talk to local vet and see if he can help you determine if there is anything in your eggs.
If there isn't a male avail to fertilize the eggs, she will just lay unfertile eggs.
A thought. Chickens stop laying when daylight hours get short. Your poor bird is probably going to deplete her whole system. I would cut the hours of light gradually and see if the egg laying quits.
