Chocolate Brown latex paint on light carpeting. Yuck! Cold water and my wet vacuum! I saturated the spot with water and sucked it up. Worked like magic!

I am trying to remove latex paint from my new rug. It's only 2 months old. I'm sure what the fabric is but it's mini shag. A twist, I believe. I have only washed it with warm water and a tiny bit of soap. Today its a little hard but the paint color is mostly out.

I'm not sure, but rubbing alcohol might work. It works on removing acrylic paint from paint brushes (artist), and both are plastic paints. It won't stain or harm your fibers, so I'd give it a try. (07/03/2009)
