Fry bacon in skillet. Do not empty grease. Whip first two ingredients together. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour batter into skillet. Skillet should be large and ovenproof. Batter should be 1/2-3/4 inches deep. Bake at 400 degrees F for 30 minutes. Will puff up a lot. Serve with syrup.

Well using bacon grease will certainly clog your arteries in no time. A cup of bacon grease has 1,823 calories 92 grams of fat and cholesterol 206 mg. Thanks but no thanks. I will omit the bacon grease.

it's true, but when we camp we add some bacon fat to the skillet and they are fantastic...so once in a blue moon would be just fine. :)
Question about the amount of milk--is it really one PINT and a teaspoon which is just over 2 cups? I ask because that's a huge amount of milk for 1-1/4 cups of flour.
