Artemis is one year old and is a long-haired tortoiseshell cat. Artemis came from the animal control shelter about a year ago when she was a two-pound kitten crying her head off and hanging on the bars of her cage.
She has a piece of baling wire that she loves to bat around. She also likes to chase the rainbows created by my window prisms. She's named after the Greek goddess of the hunt. Yes, it's dorky. I'm a literature teacher.

Very cute picture! I have a grey neighbour kitty named Artemis!
She's adorable! Just look at those sparkly eyes!! Artemis, not a dorky name at all---it's perfect. Blessings to you both from....Abby, Bonnie, Cookie, Lilly, Joe and Tully....and Michele, their adoptive parent!
Artemis sounds regal and she needs a regal name.
Your kitty kat looks so cute and enjoy your little bundle of fluffy love. I had Allie long hair tortie
and loved those colors. I now have 3 barking babies.
What a cutie! I have a tortie who was named Tortie when I bought her, but I changed her name to Trixie. She has such coloring that her face always looks angry.
LOVE that picture! God bless our pets! : )
usually don't comment on pet pictures...too many...but this cat is ADORABLE!!
Artemis is a great name! I love it when they get so focused on something that their eyes become all pupil like that. She certainly looks like a character. Thanks for sharing!
AWWWW!!! That is a lovely picture!! Artemis looks beautiful, with a bit of mischief in the eyes? LOL Thanks for sharing!
that is the cutest cat picture i have ever seen. looks like it should be on a calendar! that is definitely worth enlarging and framing!
Artemis is a magickal name, not dorky at all, for your little goddess kitty!
Absolutely darling! Good for you for rescuing her - I'm glad she's found a nice home!
