You can use the Tomcat flat glue boards to capture spiders and other insects in the home. I place them under beds and around base boards. You will be surprised what you trap.
My sister got bit by a recluse spider and almost lost her leg. I feel safer with them around, to catch the unwanted creatures.

Eggz, I believe those glue boards D-Con makes to catch mice might work. They're essentially squares of heavy-gauge smooth paper which are coated with a very strong glue. Think fly paper laid flat.
We keep these in our garage and have gotten lots of spiders, crickets, etc.
