Use Coupons to Buy Gift Cards

Check out your local grocery store ads for coupons on gift cards. Today, I saved $10 on a $50 gas card with a coupon in the ad. I saved $5.05 on the other with a coupon, as it said "Buy a $50 American Express gift card and save $10", but, in small print there was a $4.95 fee for the card, so I still saved $5.05. I'll use the American Express gift card for groceries.
