Snickers (Japanese Silkie Chicken)

Snickers is a 3 year old Japanese Silkie Chicken. I used to raise them until 2 years ago, when I had to move to the city. He loves to cuddle on my lap especially while I am crocheting.

These chickens are very docile and have feathers that feel like a feather boa. They are very soft because the feathers don't have the barbs on them, like regular feathers do. Barbs are what makes the feather strands stick to each other.
