Here it is almost Christmas, and you don't have those dreaded cut-out cookies done yet? Easy. Go to The Dollar Store, and buy some packages of plain sugar cookies. Shake off the sugar and frost them. Now you have instant cut-outs and who is to know the difference?

This is exactly what I thought to do with the left over frosting I have from cookie decorating last night! I don't want to make another batch of dough so this is an easy and quick solution to not let all the colored frosting go to waste. I could save and freeze it, but I really want to use it!
Love it! You are my kind of cook. I'm always finding ways to add home-made touches to store bought foods. Many times for a lot cheaper than if I had made the recipe from scratch.
Oh I love this one! This is a great idea. Maybe you can also sprinkle a few colored sprinkles on top of the icing.
