I caught the mirror-image stillness of the Hillsborough River in Florida. The water has a deep-brown tea color from the tannins and humus contained in the trees and swamps that the river flows through. Eventually a turtle or gator will break the surface and the mirror will be lost in the ripples.

The stillness of the water, the mossy trees, the quiet of the day; time seems to slow down on the Hillsborough River.

The composition of this photo is just amazing.
This is so beautiful!
It looks as if the bridge is being held up by trees!
Thanks, Robyn. I was standing on a tree limb that jutted out over the river. Camera in one hand, gripping onto the tree for dear life with the other.
This river is home to lots of gators that probably love nothing better than to snap up unfortunate wildlife that falls in. I did not want to be that wildlife.
But I did want to get that photo, so...
