When your laundry detergent bottle is about empty, turn it over and stand it up on the cap. Leave it for a while, and you will most likely drain enough out of the bottom for at least one more load!

Good idea. I do that with ketchup, mustard, and mayo jars. Another thing is when you turn on your washng machine hold the bottle under the water if it isn't too big and fill about 1/4 full. Shake well and empty in machine. Sometimes I just add half and save the rest for another load.
I use powdered laundry detergent now, but in the US I preferred the liquid, and used to do this all the time-you are so right that you can get at least another load out of the bottle this way!
I also used to get the very last bit (the stuff that clung to the walls of the bottle) by doing what SueJaney does-holding the bottle under the water. That usually helped with yet another load:)
I always add half a bottle of water to my empty bottle. That sure does give me more than one wash. I live in a big building with a recycle room. I have taken great brands home and made myself free soap.
