To make an airtight seal on a plastic bag, use a sharp knife to cut an inch or two off the top of a water bottle or any other plastic bottle that has a screw on lid (milk, juice). Wash and dry the screw on lid and bottle top. You want it as dry as possible. Fill your plastic bag, then push the top of the bag through the plastic bottle top, turning it down over the bottle neck.

I agree it's a great idea. I might add that it approaches being a fantastic idea. Thank you so much! Many brands of plastic bags are really hard, or impossible, to seal.
Great idea. Also, please recycle those plastic bottles. There is a great demand for this type of plastic. When recycled, it is used to make many things.
