Mini Denim Christmas Stockings

Small Christmas stockings made of denim and embellished for small gifts or candy.

Approximate Time: 25 min.

Supplies:

• denim scraps
• scissors

• sewing machine and thread
• steam iron
• lace
• ribbon

Instructions:

Construct a pattern in the desired size and shape of your Christmas stocking. These are a little over 6" high.
1. Cut 2 stockings from denim for each mini stocking.
2. Pin stocking with right sides together and sew along one side down 3". The next step saves time and keeps me from hand hemming the stocking.
3. Fold the top of the stocking under for the hem and pin in place. Sew the hem down and pin the stocking together and sew. If you are embellishing the stocking, do not complete this step until you have sewn the embellishments onto the stocking first, then pin the side seams and finish sewing the stocking.
4. Turn and press.
5. Hand stitch or glue a ribbon on for hanging. My ribbon was approximately 5-6 inches long.
