Can anyone out there identify this house plant? The guy I bought it from did not know what it is. He just said it requires only low light and he has not watered it in 6 months.

My daughter has a plant that looks just like this one. It is a zamioculcas or aroid palm. According to what I found on the net it likes low light, not direct sunlight, and only needs to be watered when dry. Hope this helps.
I too have this Plant, it has a green waxy leaf, and fans out similar to a palm. Lovely display plant, and takes very little care. I have not seen this plant on the market since my purchase, however, the grower is in Venice, Florida.
This plant is sold at Lowes, I can't remember the name of it. It is an expensive plant, and yes, it is very hardy. It can be neglected and thrive. In the mornings there will be droplets of water on the end of the leaves. I guess its way to preserve itself.
This one is referred to by several names... a Zamioculcas, Zanzibar Gem, or ZZ Plant. I recently got one so I'm learning as I go, but love mine thus far.
ZZ plant
Hi!
This is a zeezee plant.this does not flower..but its a very hardy plant.it only grows leaves.its very easy to grow.
Mine does flower. It is an ugly flower, but has flowered twice now.
That's a "ZZ" plant. the Zs stand for the two Latin names. It's an awesome sturdy plant but be careful - it's pretty toxic and can cause skin irritations too.
Zi Zi (or ZZ) Plant...A great plant for those who have a "brown thumb." Takes very little water, and can grow in high lighted areas or low lighted areas.
That is a ZZ plant. It needs water and fertilizer from time
to time. Stake the branches up, never trim. Plant will get huge! They also have a large (ugly) flower from time to time!
This is a ZZ plant!
zeezee plant
Its called a ZZ plant- sorry, dont know the Latin name- easy to grow, does well in pretty much any light
Zee Zee plant - does fine in low light but I'd move it to moderate and def water more often. I do probably about 1 cup of water every 2 weeks or so.
It is known as a Z-Z or Zanzibar plant. Hardy. DonT overwater. Can keep in lowlight, but it will thrive with a few hours of bright light daily.

ZZ plant
It is a Zamioculcas zamiifolia and it is not very easy to grow.
That's a ZZ (maybe Zee Zee) plant. I have two of them and they're very easy to care for. I planted them in pots and kept them outdoors until I knew we had a freeze in the forecast. I live in Pecos County, Texas which is Zone 9 on a Texas zone map. Zone 9 cover Trans-Pecos, mountains and basins.
