I'm redoing my room really soon and my mom says that I can redo everything besides getting new curtains. I just bought them. The curtains are the color of a deep purple like a purple Crayola marker. I don't know what color to paint my walls though. Any thoughts?

If you are using purple for curtains and other color accents, the walls would look nice painted a pale gray.
I agree with OliveOyl.
Depends on the look you're going for. I was thinking jewel tones . . . like ruby red, emerald green, or sapphire blue.
I always think a neutral color like ivory, linen, or cream work well, because then you can accessorize w/ colors and change the accessories when you want to. Also, light green walls might help if you're going for a flower (irises, violets) theme.
Yes pale grey would look good. It would depend on the comforter or bedspread you will be using. Also, lavender might go well and you could find a white comforter with lavender flowers with a touch of purple.
They have white paints (I think it may be CIL) that have just a tinge of color in them, you could use pink tinged white (if you like pink).
