What is a good or common color for a kitchen?

Steer away from blues-blue is very nice, but has been shown to be the one color that affects appetite adversely. Go with neutrals or a soft green, like a gray green/sage. If you want something more intense, reds increase appetite and make food taste better!
Dear Sandra,
This is what I do: paint the kitchen white. Then decide what colour is your very favourite, add this as an accent colour with curtains, potholders, dishes, dishtowels, a floor matt in front of your sink, tablecloths, napkins, backsplash(perhaps), whatever your heart desires. If you decide you would like to change your colour skeem for any season, just change the accent colours or add to it.
Hope this helps Sandra. Most importantly, have fun doing it! :)
Sincerely
Marie
My kitchen is olive, goes good with brown, you know the colors of the outdoors. My friend painted her white kitchen a mauve color. It went from drab to a picture in a magazine. Looks great.
