If you have a Microsoft Windows computer, you can make your own daily/weekly food planners, diaries, etc. complete with the little squares that you fill in to keep track of points or exchanges on Weight Watchers and other diets.
Open Notepad, located here: Start | Programs | Accessories | Notepad. This won't work with all fonts, so be sure your font is set to Times New Roman. Check it by clicking Format | Font. Next, you can make a sample square to see if it is the size you want. To make a square, make sure your numbers lock is on, then hold down the Alt key while you type 0127 on your number keypad. Release the Alt key. If you want larger or smaller squares, just change the font size. Sometimes you might need to make several squares in a row. In those cases, copy one of the squares to your clipboard, then each time you want to make more squares, just hold down the Ctrl key while you type the letter V as many times as needed, and you have your row of squares.

Wow! I just got a great idea. This can be used to list everything you have in your freezer: a block for each bag of green beans, package of ground beef, container of soup stock, etc. Then, when you use it, you can just get a pencil and check off the box.
