Putting Name and Address on Rock or Cement?

Rather than paying an engraver (I don't have the skill), how do I put a family name and address on a rock or slab of cement?

If you have a small Dremel with the correct bit you can play around with stone until you feel comfortable enough to carve in the design that you like. Otherwise I would just suggest that you use an all weather or oil based acrylic paint to paint on your design. That way all you have to do is freshen up the colors every couple of years.

You can get foil roasting pans in quite large sizes to make a rectangular slab for a name and/or address. Or you could line a large box with foil to use as your mold.

Craft stores have plastic letters that can be pressed into the wet cement to say anything you like.
