How can I remove the price label from a cloth box? I think the fabric is rayon acetate with a silver metallic thread running through it. If it was at the bottom I could ignore, but it is in a very noticeable area. I don't have a image to show. Thank you.

Try using a hairdryer on high setting. Preheat the entire label. Then lift a corner of the label, all the time aiming the hairdryer at the underside and continue continue lifting the label. This should solve your problem!

If price tags or stickers are stuck on something, heat the item with your hair dryer then peel it away.

You can also use nail polish remover. Just be careful as sometimes it removes color too. (11/28/2004)

If tag sticks on glass or surfaces that you can use vegetable oil on, use a paper towel put oil on it and wipe the glue area off. Then wash or rinse. It really works. Happy Holidays.

Alcohol is great on nonporous surfaces as well. For other surfaces test in an inconspicuous spot first. (12/07/2004)

You can also smear peanut butter on the gummy tag residue to get rid of it. Works great. (12/22/2004)
