Kid's Knees Always Look Dirty?

How do you get kid's knees to lighten up. No matter how hard you scrub, they still look dirty.

Alot of what you probably see as dirt is dead skin. The best method to get rid of this dirty "look" is simply apply baby oil or some other moisturizer to your child's knees or elbows after you have bathed him. This should help!

You will need to use an exfoiliant . You can make it using a small amount of olive oil and sugar. Just mix until it is the right consistency!

Buy a tube of "AGE SPOT" FADING CREAM, it worked on our daughters problem areas and can probably work on your child's too - all you have to do is try.

It's likely stained from various soils and grasses. I'd use a facial scrubbing glove just on the knees during each bath, then dry, then add the bleaching cream, being careful not to get on clothing or linens until totally soaked/absorbed by the skin and disappeared to the touch.

If you have no scrub glove, use a 3M sponge with scrubber instead, but not rubbing until the skin is raw. It didn't happen overnight, and won't disappear overnight. It could take a few weeks to get it light enough to match other skin. If the child complains of knees being raw or tender, stop everything, including soap, on that area for 2 weeks until well, then begin again more gently. It will eventually lighten, but takes time.
God bless and help you. : )

Just leave them as they are. Grubby knees are a badge of honour for a boy, showing they are rough and tumble. They will be disappointed if you remove this hard won badge. A little dirt on the skin does no harm.

Poor kid! Dirty knees are a badge of honour, hard-earned by sliding across grass and playing in mud, and you want to clean them up by scrubbing, probably ripping off the inevitable scabs in the process. Just let them be, the dirt won;'t do them any harm!
