Slice celery into 1/2-1 inch pieces. Slice water chestnuts 1/8 inch thick. Saute' these in 2 tablespoons butter till tender. Mix in soup, soy sauce, water, pepper and nuts. Pour into greased casserole dish (9x9) and top with chow mein noodles. Bake at 325 degrees F for 10 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
