I can't believe that anyone would want to use a Slow Roaster for a Leg of Lamb. The roaster would be great for lamb stew or a recipe using ground lamb. But I would prefer an oven to roast a leg of lamb. Make slits in the fat and insert slivers of garlic and use rosemary seasoning. Serve the lamb with mint jelly or sauce
I agree with Arby. Slow cookers are for less expensive cuts of meat. Leg of Lamb would be much better cooked in the oven at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes per lb.
Lamb is one of those meats that needs to be cooked fast. If it is a roast, debone it and tie it up with butcher's twine. Roast it in a very hot oven for about 20 or 30 minutes.
Like other people had said Lamb is one of the meats that should be cooked at high heat, but if you would like to try cooking by slow cooker make sure that you brown the meat frist, season the meat, and add eough water to come half way up the roast, and turn the heat control knob on the lowest setting an let it cook until you get home from work.
