How do I eat a fig? Can you eat all of it?

Pick the fruit leaving a bit of the stem on it. Wash it good, and eat all except the stem. The skin is perfectly good as are the seeds and meaty portion of the insides. Nothing goes towaste with figs. They are one of my favorite fruits, even dried.
Good Luck with your "crop".

As long as the fig, and I am assuming you mean fresh figs, is fairly soft, not hard, you eat all but the stem, like Pookarina said. Dried figs are also yummy. I grew up in Western Washington, but when ending up on the Gulf Coast of AL., there were many fruits that I learned to enjoy since some trees had figs or other fruits on them, and not the pears and apples that I had grown up with. We have also learned of many wild things and enjoy them, since they are free. Loretta from Theodore, AL
