The best way to get money in Europe is to use your ATM card. There are ATM machines in every small town and village everywhere. Make sure it's linked to your checking account, not savings account. And make sure your PIN number is a Number, not a Word( There are no letters on the ATM machines in Europe). Put all your expense money in your checking account before you leave and get out enough to cover 2-3 days worth of cash when you get to Europe. Use your credit card (preferably VISA) for all large purchases. By using your ATM and VISA cards, you will get the exchange rate that it is at that moment, and almost always, no Fees!
