I saw a question asked previously about planting flowers in the shape of letters, to spell out your business name. How is this done and what types of flowers work best for this? Do you make a stencil out of landscape fabric or can you purchase or make molds for the letters? I've seen this done in some city parks and golf courses. Any links or info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Your best bet is to design what you want on graph paper, then make a grid in the area you want to plant. Then using spray paint, paint the letters on the grass, then remove the sod to expose the dirt. Draw out the design on the graph paper and follow it when using the spray paint. You'll need a couple people to help because you'll want your grid to be straight squares. Use twine/rope & metal/wood stakes for the corners of all the squares.
