I am getting ready to return my leased vehicle in a few days, but there is a Fruit Punch Stain on the beige carpet in the back. Someone left a cup of punch in the cup holder back there without me realizing, and it leaked. I have tried every stain cleaning product imaginable (I actually have a big bin full of them), but nothing is working. The stain is old now, and I know it will be harder to get out, if I even can. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Do a search on Thrifty Fun's search for "Kool Aid Stain in Carpet". The request and answers posted on 03/07/07.....I believe there are 20 replies........gives great advice on using water, a little detergent, a towel and a steam iron! It must work because there are many excited, grateful responses! Good Luck!
Amaze, a laundry additive, is good for many things. Worth a try.
Just want to tell you a SURE WAY of getting most stains from carpet, it's also CHEAP! Go to your local Dollar Store & purchase a couple of gallon jugs of LEMON AMMONIA. Soak the carpet, and soak a cloth towel and place over the stain. It needs to be used full strength, in a well ventilated area. It may burn your eyes and nose, so use a mask, if needed, also use a stiff brissel brush & scrub the stain. Pam & Robert
If the stain is on the removable floor mat part of the carpet, just throw it in the washer. I do it all the time and it is amazing. If it won't fit in your home washer, it's worth the $4 to take it to the laundromat and put it in a larger washer. Good luck.
Have you tried FOLEX? It works extremely well on all the carpets stains we've had even motor oil.
I use the Resolve spray at work on grape juice stains all the time and they just disappear! It's good stuff.
Have you thought of a laundry detergent or Spray and Wash duo thats cleans clothes real good. Then hit it was a car cleaner called HOT SHOT it's excellent and have done many of my stains with it. Also tried at the local grocery store the rug doctor stain remover for long ago stains remover.
Thank you everyone for all your helpful suggestions. I actually turned the car in today, and they said it was fine. I tried a few different things that were suggested, and the combination took out most of the stain where you could barely see it. Thank you again!
Success! My son just spilled fruit punch in the back seat of the car. As soon as we got home I mixed one part Rug Doctor carpet cleaner with two parts HOT water. Using a clean white towel I scrubbed the entire seat and it DID come out. Try it.

We went to Burger King the other day and my 5 year old forgot her Fruit punch drink in the vans cup holder. Needless to say the cup leaked and I just spotted it yesterday. I have tried Shout concentrate, Woolite Oxy Deep, Aquanet, and 20 volume Hair developer (I am a hairdresser and was tryng to pull ideas out of my backside and it is really strong peroxide). So far nothing has helped.
Any ideas?

Jessie I work at a used car lot we use purple power and tough scrubbing with a CLEAN towel. First I would mix the purple power with water about 3 parts cleaner and 1 part water. Just spray it on and get scrubbing. We have found that when your towel gets a little dirty change to a clean spot or clean towel. If that don't work we use straight purple power. Just be sure that you don't leave it on any plastic or glass to long it will take the color out of plastic and it etches glass. GOOD LUCK!! (01/13/2005)

I have always had luck removing stains from carpet and furniture with baby wipes. It may take several wipes but I would try it before using any more chemicals. (01/13/2005)

Spot Shot. Blue can, orange cap. In the cleaning supply aisle at Wal Mart and grocery/hardware stores. Costs about $3.00. I'd rinse out all the previous chemicals you've tried with clear water first tho. (01/13/2005)

Hi Jessie, I use top job on my carpets at home and in my truck it does wonders. Mix the top job with water and scrub with scrub brush. Lets us know what works and good luck!

Try Oxiclean mixed with water at the strength suggested on the container or plain old straight hydrogen peroxide. Also, shaving cream is another suggestion. It makes a decent stain remover for carpets and it doesn't harm the carpet either. (01/13/2005)

SHOT SPOT is the ONLY way to do it. I have 2 puppies and it not only works to clean up urine, and vomit, but old spots, too. It is well worth the 3.50 + that it might cost. Try it, what have you to lose but 3.50 and your time.
Good luck. (01/14/2005)

I just spilled a huge bottle of orange soda on a very pale green carpet and tried all the things you did. I had already planned to buy a Little Green cleaning machine and the Bissell cleaner that came with it did the trick. You can buy this cleaning fluid at wal mart and I'll never use anything else. It also is a fantastic laundry stain remover. (01/21/2005)

Try a paste of baking soda and water. I would test on a small unseen spot just to make sure it won't discolor the carpet. (09/07/2005)
