Has anyone experience of learning to play the Appalachian Harp? I'm trying to find out about this instrument and how to play it, but not having much luck with UK sites!

See if google will yield Eureka Springs, Arkansas, USA- Maybe yellow pages. You should get many hits on just the two words-- Appalachian harp and dulcimer.
I was there last year and there was a shop that does mail order, makes and sells dulcimers and CD's and gives lessons.

Order some books by Mel Bay. They are excellent! They are vey easy to understand and follow along on your own - especially for a beginner. And they are not very expensive!
