Ned is a 6 month old Common Barn Cat, fleas included. I got him from a box at the flea market next to his more lovely white brothers and sisters to be given away. My daughter took pity on him as he was the "ugly duckling."
He likes to torture his "Uncle Opie," our big white cat.
My daughters are teenagers and have boycotted my annual Christmas card photo of them in get-ups, so I thought I'd do a cute pet photo of Ned and Opie. I put them on a blankey that said "Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me" to, you know, show love and brotherhood at Christmas. So much for that bright idea. In the end, Opie stalked out, so all I got was a shot of Ned. I think I will buy ready-made Christmas card.

Ned is a very handsome cat! No longer an ugly duckling....
Well, you tell Opie that he just missed out on a marvelous opportunity! Ned is a beautiful boy, not an ugly duckling at all!
I think Ned would make a lovely Christmas card!

Yes. Opie missed his claim to fame! Ned alone will make a lovely Xmas card. He's a great looking ginger cat (just like my own ginger cat Feller)

Dear Cindy, Ned is a beautiful cat, please use him on your Christmas card.
He looks just like my cat, Sandee Claws! He is very handsome. It's nice you kept him. Barn cats help keep those mice down. HUGS
Your photo would make a great xmas card! He poses so nicely. A born model!
That expression in his eyes and his "lips" says it all, just as you described. He hasn't the foggiest idea that he's on "cat-eyed Camera", does he? I know cats very well, had about 50 of them over my years. Ned looks like he's got something serious on his mind, perhaps payback time for Opie ducking out? His mouth seems tough, so I'd watch out for Opie's sake. LOL
The only cat I had like this, is also like one that tears up the neighborhood cats REGULARLY
and never stays home, although it's owner hasn't the foggiest of what her "darling" is doing all over the place as a rowdy two-pawed red-faced spittin' furballs "terrorist" to the timid and tame.
I know we love our pets, though, so, just keep one eye open for little ol' Ned! He likely learned to be hardened, "the hard way" amongst the other barn animals? LOL God bless him and you. : )
He is a beautiful cat and that is a wonderful picture Love Donna
How could you possibly say that he is an ugly duckling? He is beautiful.
