Vinegar or CLR.
Take a couple of layers of paper towels (plain white because sometimes the dyes can bleed) & lay it onto the water stains. Douse it with white vinegar & let it sit for about 20 or 30 minutes, making sure it doesn't dry out. You can lightly scrub any remaining stains with a soft scrubber. Should be good as new! This has always worked for me, without the risk of using anything too strong.

How do you get hard water stains off of granite?
Maureen from NJ
I use a product made for polishing Corian and granite counter tops. It's made by Heidman. I'm not sure of the spelling, but WalMart carries it. It's in a gray bottle on the cleaning products aisle. Good luck! (03/06/2009)
Mine was cleaned off with a low-angle razor blade. (03/13/2009)
