My mom had her blood typed recently and was shown to be B+. Her medical records from 50 years ago say she was B-. My sister says pregnancy can change a woman's blood type. My sister says she also went from B- to B+. Is this possible?

This is the place that says it most clearly.
Have her doctor explain it to her
Perhaps she is RH(-) but Du (+) which is REALLY Rh(+)
you blood type cannot change BUT labs can make typing mistakes
your blood type does not change. Labs test more throughly now than they did years ago. I was classified as ab- but I had to receive blood a few months ago and I had to take ab+.
This is happening to me now... I'm a nurse and have always been very aware of my blood type. I've also donated blood in years past and O+'s are known as universal donors.
I have a son who is almost 2 and during my pregnancy with him my labs confirmed me as 0+ (as I have been my entire life). But now... I'm 7 months pregnant and 2 tests have come back stating that I'm now O-. Now my midwife is sending me to get retested a 3rd time but directly at Quest Labs this time.
I know that during pregnancy fetal and maternal blood can sometimes mix, so I've been wondering if it's the baby's blood they are detecting or if mine has indeed been somehow changed.
