The shelter took her in and after giving birth, all of her kittens were adopted out. When I saw her, she was sitting alone in a corner, staring out a window. She looked so sad. I knew she was the perfect kitty for our home.
Isis has several toy mice that she loves to play with. We call them her babies because she carries them around the house. Many a morning I have woken up to find one of her toy mice in my bedroom or shoes. She also loves to watch the other animals outside, especially the birds. In the winter, my husband puts bird seed in the yard to keep her entertained.
Isis is very protective of all of us. At bedtime, she will go from room to room to make sure we are all safely tucked in before settling down for the night. She especially likes to sleep with me. When it is my usual bedtime, she will stand outside my bedroom door and wait for me. If I open the door, she will go up, but if I do not follow her, she will stand at the top of the stairs and stare down until I start ascending the stairs.
She always greets us at the door when we come home and is in the window watching as we pull in the driveway. She is also like the little mother of the house. When one of my two sons are ill and I am caring for them, she is right by my side as if she is saying, "What can I do to help" She's such a comfort and such a joy. We cannot imagine our lives without her.

Great story. I know just what you mean about her being into everything you do. We have 3 cats, and a dog. Even if one of them is not feeling well, (you can tell because they're not playing), the others will sit or lie close to him or her.
I get really upset when I hear anyone say something like "that dumb animal". I think the animals have more sense than some people. Thanks for sharing Isis Louise with us.
She is a beautiful cat. MisMachado
