Cook linguini al dente according to package directions. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the garlic in a large skillet until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Add tomatoes and Parmesan and heat thoroughly. Slowly incorporate the sour cream stirring until heated and add crushed pepper and salt to taste. Drain linguine but not so thoroughly that it is completely dry, return to pot, stir in sauce and serve.
