I have about 200 6-1/4 inch glass rods I acquired through Kijiji for free. They are 1/4 inch thick with a 3/8 inch ball at one end. There are no sharp edges. Before I went to get them, I had pictured them having a hole at one of the ends but they don't. Does anybody have a great idea for recycling these? I was hoping they could somehow be used in my garden as garden art.

If they have a ball on one end, can you tie string or wrap wire around them to suspend them? How about spiking them into a foam or clay ball to catch the sunlight? I love kinetic movement in the yard. A piece of pipe (PVC? copper) drilled with holes and glue the glass rods in a spiral pattern. Hang or suspend it so it will turn in the wind. Have fun and be Whimsical!
They sound absolutely wonderful for a garden project. You might check with the really creative crowd on TheGardenArtForum.Com for some feedback (it is a totally free garden art site).
