Substitute Vinegar In Downy Dryer Ball

Fill a Downy Ball with white vinegar. Toss it into the washing machine with your clothes. Not only will they will come out static-free, but fresh-smelling as well. A big plus is that it's more natural than regular fabric softener and cheaper too!

Wonderful idea! I don't have a downy ball but I pour 2 glugs of vinegar in my wash cycle since DH and I have such terrible skin we can't use softener.

Weve had trouble with using fabric softener in our washing machine, so for a good while now, I just fill the fabric softener cup thats in the washing machine with vinegar. It works great, no smell, & inexpensive!

I use a clothesline for a lot of our clothes, but when drying in the clothes dryer, I use the NO SCENT fabric softener sheets by All, which is great, as we need no scents.
