Use a recipe box for all of those snail mail addresses you still use. The cards are large enough to put birthdays of all the family members and other special dates or notes on. There is plenty of room for the birth of new babies.
When a couple has a baby, give that baby his/her own card so you can write any special notes, or thoughts you might want to remind them of later. Maybe a gift idea you don't want to forget.
We all know how computers can crash so it is a good idea to have those email and cellphone addresses and numbers written down. Having them all in one place sure makes it faster to find what you need. Keep it right beside the computer and update it right along with the computer and you will never be without the information you need.

This tip might be from 2010 but it's a keeper for a reason. We older gals used to call them Tickler Files. You read what is on the front, then put it in the back, making the new card "tickle your memory". A lot of ladies used them for household cleaning, errands, and such.
This is a great idea for every one, as computers do crash. You can also put in their favorite color, hobbies, favorite dish, what they collect, etc.
Good job!
Include in this recipe box of addresses and birthdays passwords and codes for your on line accounts.
I realize this post is very old, but my wife and I are obsessed with recipe boxes! We run our own little store devoted to them. store.cookbookpeople.com/
