My 6 week old puppy can't sleep comfortably. He keeps crying. What could be wrong with him?

He is probably cold and lonesome. Try giving him a soft cuddly toy and something that makes a soft noise like a ticking clock.
I agree with deebomb. I remember reading that, along with a ticking clock, a hot water bottle wrapped in a blanket can be soothing -- like sleeping with mama and littermates.
I'm guessing that he needs his mother! Six weeks old is really young to be adopted out. He's just a baby, after all. Puppies learn a lot from their mothers and litter mates in the first 12-18 weeks of their lives.
Ooo this wee boy should still b with his mama. There's still a lot for him to learn. Mrs.story's got a great idea, though, you could try cuddling him close to you as well. Good luck with your precious wee baby.
Was he bred by you? if not puppys can not be sold/given away until eight weeks. Suggest you contact your Veterinarian ASAP this could be any number of things. Good luck.
Give him a stuffed animal to sleep/cuddle with, any yes, he was taken away from his mama and siblings too soon.
