I need ideas I can make for centerpieces as well as activities for a 50th birthday. We want it to be fun and have lots of humor.

Our Associate Pastor's wife planned a 50's surprise 50th birthday party for him. It was awesome. She decorated everything in 50's since he was born in the 50's. She made chip bowls out of old records by baking them in the oven-they curl up to hold chips. they had hot dogs and burgers, chips, cake, soda in the old glass bottles, root beer floats, karaoke, skits, and everyone dressed up. They even had a 50's model car parked outside. His sister even made up a couple of display boards with pictures of him at all ages and they had some of his trophies, awards and stuff from high school. It was great.
