Paint Color Advice for Kitchen With White Cabinets and Wood Floors?

I have a galley style kitchen, with white cabinets and wood floors. The whole apartment is new and getting renovated. So we don't have any furniture. The kitchen looks out into the living room, due to us knocking a hole in one of the walls to make it look more spacious. There will be a countertop coming out from the hole into the living room. We are thinking about going with a blue, but is that too much for the kitchen? We are also thinking a brown or a green.
