Homemade Cat Shelf

I wanted to add a cat shelf to our kitchen window since we live next to the park. My husband used a regular shelf that he had and "L" brackets for support. You can buy this kind of shelf at a store like Home Depot or Lowes and they are very inexpensive. You can also get the "L" brackets where the shelving is, also very inexpensively. We have 5 cats and the shelf is big enough for all of them to be on it at once.

The shelves that are sold by pet product companies can only hold one cat at a time and are pretty expensive. I've included a picture with 3 of our 5 cats on the shelf. If you want to make it a softer spot for the cats you can put a piece of carpeting or some material on it to make it fancy. Our cats love their window shelf.

I'd love to see the pic with your cats, but am not seeing it. Any help?

I love the shelf you made for those cute kitties.
I bet they are enjoying watching activities in the park.
Beautiful!!
