I just helped my mom squeeze elderberries for jelly. We used old nylon stockings. You could use new ones if you want :)

I use a colander lined with cheesecloth or hose.

You can just use a strainer and a spoon. I think I'd cook them first, then strain and press thru a sieve.

Meaning when they are frozen, when you cook them? I just use a regular small mesh strainer if I need one. (07/09/2009)

Strainer for Straining Raspberries

I think you are referring to a sieve or a mesh strainer. These are very fine mesh that are good for pushing through the pulp of the berries without the seeds. (07/09/2009)

I use a strainer called Vittorio. Hope this helps you find the one you want. (07/12/2009)
