How do I refresh older popcorn, before popping?

-Why doesn't the popcorn pop? The popcorn may be old or dried out. What makes kernels pop is moisture in the kernel.
Helpful Hint: Place a teaspoon of water in a plastic bag with your popcorn and place in the refrigerator overnight. This will "refresh" it.
The answer is popcorn when popped has moisture inside of it. As the moisture heats up the water expands causing the popcorn kernel to expand and, is forced to turn it's self inside out.
The popcorn no longer pops because all the moisture inside of it has long ago dried up.
