This is a copy cat recipe and tastes like Bishop's Cafeteria's Chocolate Pie. Super yummy!
Mix first four ingredients on low speed for 2 minutes. Add the 2 cups of vanilla ice cream and fold in. Pour into crust. Chill till set. Top with whipped topping and a grated Hershey bar.

As soon as I saw Bishop's I looked to see where this recipe came from and sure enough, Iowa. Sioux City to be exact; that's where I'm from.
hahaha, I guess Bishops cafeterias are only in Iowa or maybe the midwest? I am from Belle Plaine which is 35 miles west of Cedar Rapids.
Your close, but what makes the bishops pie so good is dutch cocoa chocolate pudding mix and liquid ice cream mix.
I'd like to know about the ice cream mix too. I grew up in Bettendorf and ate with my folks at Bishop's a lot. Especially that pie!
Sherryanny, where do you purchase the liquid ice cream mix? I don't make my own so am not sure where to get it. Thanks for the suggestion.
