This is just a shout out for some of you who may be considering Jennifer Convertibles i.e. the ad on TV of the two recliners for cheap. We are redecorating our living room, I saw this ad and did some research online. I found SCATHING reviews about this company and the terrible experiences by many customers.

We've had a terrible experience with Jennifer Convertibles as well. We came across this site:

post your complaint and pass it on!!!
Interesting, so you have never actually dealt with Jennifer Convertibles yourself but felt it was necessary to post on the internet that you did research on the internet and you think people should stay away from that store. WOW! Maybe you should see for yourself or let people research for themselves.
Everyone has had different experiences, mine was great! Stop getting your info from random people on the internet who could very well work for their competition.
Currently in the midst of a delivery pain in the .... with Jennifer Convertibles getting a very rude runaround from the sales people and corporate offices. Nobody is able to take responsibility for the fact that I have been lied to about when my couch will be arriving. Meanwhile, it is paid for - and there isn't a darn thing I can do about it.
Our sectional lasted two months until it sagged onto the floor. The warranty didn't matter for much since it was unfixable per the warranty company. New pieces were sent out in an effort to "fix" but they were incorrect. Frame is made of inferior wood byproduct . It was even worth the delivery charges . Joke is on me what a waste of time and money.
Don't ever buy anything from Jennifer convertibles. I used to work for them for 3 years and it was a horrible experience.
I went to Jennifer to buy the two recliners for $299. and was told that I had to have them delivered even though I own a van.
Do I have personal experience with JC? No, because when I was desperately searching for an inexpensive sofa, it didn't take long to trip over the host of terrible complaints, imagine all the others who don't post. For an inexpensive, American-made, fabulous cheap sofa/sectional/chair ottoman check out HomeReserve.com - the "couch in a box". - Wonderful fabrics, strong, my sofa is going on 5 years (just got new slipcovers for a new look). Can't say enough good things about HR, and I warn people about the JC complaints - shame on them still doing the same old thing.
My family and I have been buying from Jennifer convertibles for over 20 years and have never encountered any problems of any kind. Remember there are two sided to every story. But still after reading this I wanted to do a little more research before purchasing my next living room set. I went in with a list of concerns and they were all put to rest. It is truly amazing how there are so many uneducated people making purchases of all kinds who never bother to read anything they sign.
I had a horrible experience with Jennifer Convertible. It took them 3 months to deliver our furniture. First time they called us to tell that the shipment was damaged and we said this is fine, we will wait. Second time they called and there was a different reason and we decided to cancel the order. We had been waiting for refund forever, had to call them at least once a week and once we received a call from the delivery person trying to schedule delivery time.
