Is your washer over 10 years old? Replace it with a new Energy Star qualified washer and you could save over $135 each year on your utility bills. That's like getting your High Efficiency (HE) detergent free year round.good luck.

Clothes washers undergo Energy Star evaluation at Whirlpool Corp.'s Clyde, Ohio, manufacturing plant. The test panel measures total energy consumed including water usage, recently added to the Energy Star specifications.

Good luck.

As far as I know any machine that uses HE soap saves on soap. I have a Maytag that specifies using HE soap. HE means High Efficiency. You use less soap per load.

A friend who was rather inventive made his own suds saver form a small barrel. He is dead now so I can't get directions.

My sudsaver Maytag won't pump the water back into the machine. Did you have the same problem, if so, how did your husband fix it?

they are no longer made which makes me so very disappointed. my Sears Kenmore that is 12 YO just stopped working. The suds saver was a great water saving feature. Don't understand why washing machine manufacturers think it is unimportant to save water!

In 12 yrs my machine only had 2 service calls. So, Im off to buy a new washer and bet the next one won't have a good service repair record like my old one!

...my Mother bought a new Suds saver washer & Dryer in 1954...she gave it to me in 1964 when they moved...I had them until 1970 & gave them to a friend w/5 kids & had to go to a laundry mat. The set was placed in the garage so my Mom got the washer w/chimes that rang 10 times to let her know it was about done. The set (KENMORE) I have now is a 1984 & still runs like a champ

My parents bought a Maytag Suds Saver around 1976. I inherited it in 1990. It just died this past April 2018. My Maytag repairman can no longer find parts & can't find any other.

Found a Maytag commercial residential washer with great reviews to replace it. Will use same suds saver method. Live in the country and must save on water!

Its not as much water as
SUDS. I used the same water and suds for socks and rugs. Now after moving twice my one tube is gone
