Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. celery seed
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. pimento
  • 1/2 tsp. grated onion
  • 3 Tbsp. oil
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 3 cups chopped or grated cabbage

Directions

In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients. Chill thoroughly.

Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 3/4 cup salad oil
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 2 medium onions
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • Advertisement

  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 cup vinegar

Directions

Cut cabbage into slivers. Cut pepper and onions into rings. Place in layers in bowl. Pour 1 cup sugar on top. In a boiler, mix dry mustard, celery seed, oil, salt, sugar, and vinegar. Bring to a boil; boil 2 minutes. Pour over cabbage. Let stand at least 4 hours. Stir once each hour to insure flavor mix. Cover and store in refrigerator. Will keep 2 weeks.
